FAQs
Red light therapy exposes the body to red light, the longest wavelength of visible light, using LED lights or lasers. RLT is also called photobiomodulation therapy or low-level laser light therapy.
Treatments usually last between 10 and 20 minutes. The best results are typically achieved with treatments lasting 20 minutes. After each treatment, we recommend waiting 48 hours between having another red light therapy treatment.
You may see some results quickly, but you will continue to see them over the next three to six months. Think of red light therapy as an exercise for your cells, as it takes time to build up.
Different skin types and ages react differently to red light therapy. The best results typically appear after 8 to 12 weeks. During the first 1-4 weeks, Red Light Therapy should be performed at least 3-5 times per week for 15 minutes, the maximum time allowed in the RLT beds.
